"At the annual awards banquet, Crandall Chargers Boxing gives out the Best Boxer award . Some might chuckle at a Christian University awarding Christian Character in a sport that involves fighting but for those who are in the sport and identify as a Christian, there is no dissonance. In fact, the New Testament scriptures call for a focused and purposed faith and makes a comparison to the discipline required in boxing!! Nice connection. The 2021-22 Christian Character award goes to a guy who rarely seems to have a cloudy day and a lot of that comes because of the strength of his faith in Christ. And this positive disposition affects all areas of his life and the lives of other athletes on the team. Congratulations George Stavrou!"
